Every 500 years, shamans(one who links this world to the next), will
gather themselves to compete in the shaman fight. The winner of the fight shall be known as the Shaman King and he will gain
the earthshaking power of the Great Spirits, King of all spirits. A 13 year old boy, kind hearted and calm with an unwavering
heart, is destined to join the fight to become the Shaman King. He is Asakura Yoh and as he goes along, he meets friends of
all kinds, with the support of his fiancee, Anna and his spirit, Amidamaru. However, Yoh unexpectedly meets a powerful shaman
in control of the Spirit of fire(Honoo no Seirei) who turns out to be actually Yoh's twin brother, Asakura Hao and he is prepared
to continue his unfinished mission from 1000 years ago. That is, to gain the power of the Great Spirits and wipe out the world
of humans, living behind only the strong shamans...
